"If you do not understand White Supremacy (Racism) --- what it is, and how it works --- everything else that you understand, will only confuse you." - Neely Fuller Jr.
Read the above quote again.
This time, much slower and preferably out loud.
Because if you are like most people, you read it, but you didn't really "get it."
I'm equally as guilty.
When I first heard/read the statement, the gravity of those 24 words missed me almost completely.
Partly because of preconceived notions, but mainly because of ego.
Like many, I assumed I understood what Racism is, after all, I was born and raised in Birmingham, AL...the place where dynamite was used liberally and deliberately to terrorize and murder those that might upset the status quo.
Little did I know or understand that Racism (being a total System of thought, speech, and action) is exponentially more complex than simply not being able to vote, having to sit in the back of the bus, or having to attend segregated schools.
Sure, most black people will say that they know what Racism is - being the undeniable reality that it is, however, NONE of us truly understand how Racism works.
NONE of us have figured out how to end it.
When you understand how a thing is put together, you also know how to take it apart.
While there are a lot of spokespersons, there are no proven experts on Racism.
Racism is White Supremacy and White Supremacy is Racism and it is THE #1 Obstacle to /justice/ as /justice/ and Racism cannot co-exist.
Racism (White Supremacy) is non-justice, thus /justice/ can not exist while non-justice exists.
Again, this is what /justice/ looks like and without it, /justice/ has not been produced:
1. Balance between people,
2. Guaranteeing that no person is mistreated and,
3. Guaranteeing that the person who needs help the most, gets the most constructive help.
